With approximately 15 years of experience in medical emergencies, pre-hospital and intra-hospital care, and 5 years specializing in high-risk area care, i.e., tactical environments, ODOCCAVEIRA emerged from the need to guide the subject in Brazil. Tactical pre-hospital care is a mandatory subject taught to all public safety agents in the USA and developed countries, since the techniques and protocols used have demonstrated, in practice and through scientific studies, their effectiveness in preserving the lives of operators wounded in combat.

In Brazil, security forces have only recently begun to introduce the subject to their operators through institutional courses, as is the case in the São Paulo Military Police, the Paraná Civil Police, the Rio de Janeiro Military and Civil Police, and in the Brazilian Army, Navy, and Air Force. While mandatory, the subject has a small number of hours and is already part of all Special Operations and Search and Rescue courses, it remains largely restricted to this segment of operators.

In our country, as we are still in the early stages of this matter, with very few institutional courses and currently very few professionals with operational and medical experience to transmit knowledge, operators and healthcare professionals are often left to seek knowledge in private courses. Similarly, there are a small number of certification centers with quality standards that rigorously follow the globally recognized TC3 and TECC protocols, while a large number of "schools" are disseminating knowledge incorrectly, disregarding these protocols and putting the lives of operators and healthcare professionals at risk, driven solely by commercial interests. It is an irresponsibility without limits to put the lives of operators and healthcare professionals at risk by offering courses with dubious training whose sole objective is profit. Knowledge generates responsibility. Wrong knowledge generates tragedies!!!!
